Operation that took place on August 6th and 7th, 1944, south of Chateauroux in France. 56 men of the 1st SAS regiment weree ordered to attack a railway between Limoges-Vierzon-Piotiers and Tours. 11 cars with fuel and 35 engines were destroyed. During this engagement SAS units were attacked by German SS; after this operation 34 men were missing, one was killed and one wounded. A large part of the missing were killed by the Germans later.
