    "During operations in the Netherlands, Lieutenant-Colonel Craig served in responsible staff appointments at Headquarters 3 Canadian Infantry Division and Headquarters First Canadian Army with outstanding ability and energy.
    His sound judgement, aggressiveness and ability to work long hours accurately and rapidly was of considerable assistance during the planning phase and subsequently during the operations when in progress. His personal drive and efficiency contributed to the smooth and effective functioning of both headquarters and to the ultimate success of those operations which led to the liberation of the Netherlands."
