James S. Burnett entered service at Fort Benjamin Harrison in Indiana on February 16th, 1942. He served with Headquarters Company, 81st Tank Battalion, 5th Armored Division. He left for Europe on February 11th, 1944 to arrive in Great Britain on February 22nd. He arrived in the United States again on October 10th, 1945. James Burnett was honorably discharged on October 16th, 1945.
