Biography
KIA 26 March, 1942 during an attack at Velikoye-Selo, at the south end of Lake Ilmen (Demyansk area). His A-4 was struck by a bomb dropped from another ac causing his bombs to detonate. Remaining crew (KIA): Hptm Hans Sumpf (RK) pilot; Ofw Ewald Kruppa, observer; Fw Richard Boehr, radio operator and Ogefr Friedrich Ellersdorfer, gunner.
