Biography

After his career with III / Nachtjagdgeschwader 1, he was Kommodore for Nachtjagdgeschwader 4 from October 20th 1943 until November 14th 1944 and of Nachtjagdgeschwader 2 from February 8th 1945 till May 5th 1945. He had 24 kills as Nightfighter.
His final rank during the Second World War was Oberstleutnant. Became the Military attaché for Western Germany in Sweden after the Second World War. During his stay in Sweden he received the Svärdsorden, a rare occaision for a foreigner.
