On the 12.08.1941 Leutnant Fromme’s Panzers, together with a Schützen-Kompanie, struck the flank of an enemy group at Mulikowo. Despite the difficult terrain conditions and strong enemy resistance, he was able to decisively smash the enemy and destroy a large number of their heavy weapons. Through the destruction of this enemy grouping the last major obstacle preventing the exit of the XXXXI. Armee-Korps (mot) from the thick forests north of Luga was removed. Leutnant Fromme would receive the Knight’s Cross in recognition of this achievement.
