He has distinguished himself in connection with hostile activities by courageous and tactful conduct, serving the intersts of the Kingdom, by having joined in May 1943 an important military intelligence group in occupied Holland, acting as such until the liberation in May 1945, having supplied outstanding information on the military defence and armaments in the northern part of the Province of North-Holland. In particular by having supplied extremely accurate information on Den Helder, also in the period of increased importance of this naval base in the summer of 1944 following the closing of the Channell ports. Thereby having reported continuously number, type and armament of vessels and H. boats, as well as enemy convoys which has contributed to the bombing of said convoys.
