Biography

Joined the Territorial Army before the second world war and was called to the colours in August 1939. Was part of 237th (Lincoln) Batterie, 60th (North Midland) Field Regiment. Served in France January to June 1940. Sailed to Egypt and arrived in the Middle East in April 1941. Stayed in the desert until 1943. He then was in Italy from 1943 to 1945. Was wounded at Monte Cassino. Died on his 75 birthday 25th December 1986
