    Biography

    Henk Drogt was policemen with the Marechaussee in Grootegast, Groningen, the Netherlands. When his unit on 9th Mach 1943 was orderered by the German occupier to arrest all Jews that were still living in their area and transport them to Groningen for deportation, they refused coöperation. The policemen involved were arrested and transported to Camp Vught. Hen Droigt managed to escape before the arrest and joined the resistance. In August 1943 he finally was arrested and imprisoned in the Oranjehotel in Scheveningen. He was executed on 14th April 1944.
