Biography

Thomas Call was born in Maryland and moved to Canton, Ohio at a young age. When he was at High School he moved to Columbus in 1940. It was intended to join the Ohio State University, where also his older brother was studying. When he graduated from the High School in 1942 he decided to join the army. He enlisted in 1943.

He died on 5th October 1944 near Opheusden and Zetten. According to several sources attached to Company C, 1st Battalion. Not clear is if he was attached to the unit or if this was a clerical error due to the complex battlefield. Was originally attached as a medic to the 3rd Battalion HQ comp mmg platoon as of Normandy.
