Biography

aka Jacques CHARPENTIER, ASSELIN, CHEVALIER, ARNOUX, ATTALIN in the French Resistance
End 1940 : trainee lawyer in Paris, entered different movements like Mouvement de Libération Nationale run by Henri FRENAY or the "Petites Ailes " conducting missions for the ORA, he then became one of the early chiefs of the resistance structure "Ceux de la résistance" where he was in charge of the intelligence branch ("réseau Manipule") in close coordination with the Air OPS Office of the BCRA.
19 November 1943 : arrested by Gestapo and jailed in Fresnes
22 January 1944 : deported from Compiègne to Buchenwald concentration camp
25 February 1944 : transfered to Mauthausen concentration camp
March 1944 : affected to an unknown forced labor kommando with the matricule 42962
5 August 1944 : gazed int eh euthanasia center in Hartheim castle in charge of eliminating all the unfit for forced labor
His father was baton officer at the court of Justice in Paris and also a Resistant - the family was originally from Sartène (Corsica)
