Biography

Cornelis Adriaan Nieuwendijk-Hoek was one of the few survivers of the Regiment 'General Seyffardt' when it retreated from the Tannenberg position near Narwa. He married Frankje Josefine van West (born September 2nd, 1923, Djambi) on April 29th, 1944. Frankje West was at the Lebensborn/SS-Muttersheim ''Hochland'' in Steinhöring from October 13th, 1944 until February 15th, 1945. The marriage was dissolved on April 6th, 1949.

According to some sources he would have received the Deutsches Kreuz in Gold for actions near Stettin (Brückenkopf-Altdamm). THis has not been confirmed by any reliable source or documents yet.
