"This officer has taken part in many successful sorties against targets in the Ruhr, Berlin and the north German ports. He also participated in the recent raids on Friedrichshafen and Spezia which involved the journey to North Africa and back. On several occasions he has secured excellent photographs of the aiming point and once completed his mission with success in spite of a determined attack by an enemy night fighter. Pilot Officer Parsons has always devoted great care and thought to pre-flight planning whilst determination to press home his attacks in the face of the heaviest anti-aircraft fire has characterized all of his missions."
