Biography

Bwelinde Siemens moved to the Netherlands in 1928 with her family, where her father tought Dermatology on the Leiden University.

When during the Second World War her father was held hostage in Sint Mochielsgestel, she became a courier in the resistance gorup of Vic Swaene.

After the war she became involved in politics. She held a seat in the Haarlem community councel for 10 years. Besides that she tought about the Second World War to Dutch and German schoolkids.
