"For conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity while serving with the First Battalion, Twenty-Fourth Marines, FOURTH Marine Division, during action against enemy Japanese forces on Tinian Islands, Marianas Group, from 24 to 25 July 1944. At the height of the battle when the enemy launched a vigorous counterattack which threatened to break the line of his company, Private First Class Seader promptly stood up and moved forward, steadily firing his automatic rifle as he advanced under intense enemy opposition and successfully frustrated the hostile counterattack before he was mortally wounded. Private First Class Seader's valiant conduct and self-sacrificing devotion to duty were in keeping with the highest traditions of the United States Naval Service. He gallantly gave his life for his country."
