Biography

Ernest Drake first joined the Royal Surrey Regiment in 1932 after which he served with the Royal Artillery. After the war he joined up with the Territorial Army with the Royal Engineers with the rank of Company Sergeant-Major/. Warrant Officer 2nd Class.
As a civilian he worked for London Transport for many years as a bus driver, later as an instructor, and then in administration.
