Second World War (1939-1945)
Rank:
Oberstleutnant im Generalstab (Lieutenant-colonel to the General Staff)
Unit:
Quartiermeister
Awarded on:
May 10th, 1945
Probably a non formal bestowal

Supposed to have been an awarding according to the "Donitz-Erlass", according to Klaus D. Patzwall in a manuscript from March 1st, 1993. But since the clearing analysis of Veit Scherzer we have to suppose, that this may be a bestowal of the OdR without any legimate. Hükelheim is not listed as decorated with the KC of the WMC by Heinz-Peter Würzenthal in "Die Generale und Admirale der Bundeswehr 1955-199", volume 2.2, on page 465. According http://www.das-ritterkreuz.de/, the proposal for Heinz Hükelheim's decoration was given on May 9th, 1945. In his Bundesarchive-personal file there is no notice about the bestowal.
Ritterkreuz des Kriegsverdienstkreuzes mit Schwertern
