“Feldwebel and MG squad leader Anton Larisch… struck against the broken-in enemy and threw them back. He crushed multiple attacks by strong enemy forces. As the last rounds of ammunition were expended, and even though his MG crews had all fallen by this time, he continued to defend his position until support arrived.”
