Biography

Ernst Raabe served as Kommandant "U 246" from January 11th, 1944 until April 5th, 1945. He undetook two operational sails (80 seadays) without sinking any ship. He was killed on April 5th, 1945, when his ship, without known reason, sunk, south of the Island Man at 53.40N / 04.53W. He had finally reached the rank of Kapitänleutnant.
