Biography

Nico Bronkhorst entered volunteer service in 1937. After his training at Amersfoort he was stationed as Wachtmeester with the Eskadron PAG, 1e Regiment Huzaren. With this unit he was involved in the fightings in May 1940. With the liberation of Maastricht in 1944 he became Sectiecommandant with the Ordedienst (OD) and was incorporated in the Binnenlandse Strijdkrachten.

He ended his military career as Dienstdoend Motor Tranposrt Officier, Garnizoen Jagers with the rank of Sergeant.
