    Hermann Eckhardt was killed as Kommandant "U 432 on March 11th, 1943, when his ship was sunk at 51.35N / 28.20W by the Franch Corvette "Aconit". During one operational sail (26 days at sea), he sunk one ship with a tonnage of 1.340BRT.
