Was killed on April 18th, 1942 as Pilot Officer with No. 610 (County of Chester) Squadron, Royal Air Force after having crashed with his Supermanrine Spitfire Mk Vb AA942 in the North Sea. His remains washed ashore at Scheveningen, the Netherlands.
