Private Walter Dikoon entered service at Rhode Island on October 8th, 1942. He was killed on September 17th, 1944 at the Keizer Karelplein, Nijmegen, during the first attack on the Waalbridge. At first he was on September 21st, 1944, buried at the Molenhoek American Cemetery, Holland, Plot A, Row 4, Grave 75, but was later reburied at Margraten. According to his grave marker he was killed on September 21st, 1944.
