Biography

Felix Dono Ortt was born on January 21st, 1907 as son to Jonkheer Felix Louis Ortt and Albertina Anna Hinlopen. After his training as "Stuurman-Marconist" he became "Luitenant 3e Klasse" with the "Koninklijke Marine" and was trained for special services. After the May 1940 war, het became an Agent with MI-6 and was send to occupied territory in the Netherlands on March 12th, 1942. Probably Felix Ortt was taken prisoner as a result of the "Engelandspiel" on May 26th, 1942. He was transferred to the SD-Prison in Haren (under the name of Albert Overbeek) on June 30th, 1942 and transferred to the "Huis van Bewaring" (prison) in Assen on November 27th, 1943. The name of Felix Ortt can then be found in the register of the Rawicz Prison on April 15th, 1944 when 51 imprisoned Secret Agents were interred there.
Ortt then is booked as being missing since April 30th, 1944 with as his last known stay in the Rawizc Prison. The Dutch Wargraves Association have for now stated as his date of death that April 30th, 1944 although he was not deleted form the Radowizc Prison records before September 4th, 1944. This makes the date and place of death actually unknown.
