Biography

Joseph Eugene Gahagan was called for duty on July 28th, 1943 and enlisted at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas on August 18th, 1943. He left for Europe on March 22nd, 1944, arriving there on April 3rd, 1944. Joseph Gahagan served with Company M, 38th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division. He returned back into the United States on December 19th, 1945 and was honorably discharged as a Corporal on December 26th, 1945 at the Separation Center Camp Fannin, Texas.

Joseph Eugene Gahagan was also entitled to wear the Distinguished Unit Badge.
