Biography

Pavel Zakharchenko, born in 1917, was drafted into service in 1939. He served in the 150th Tank Brigade of the 50th Army as deputy commander. Captain Pavel Zakharchenko was awarded the 'Hero of the Soviet Union' title on 17 October 1943. He died of a head wound on 25 November 1943 near Korosten.
