Recommendation:
He has distinguished himself by particular courageous and tactful actions from early 1943 onwards in combat against the enemy by starting to gather information for an intelligence group which later on entered into close cooperation with the Bureau of Intelligence of the Dutch government. Subsequently he started, along with others, an indepent group after many arrests had taken place in his circle in July and August, which later on grew into one of the largest groups which cooperated with said Bureau of Intelligence. Moreover by doing trail blazing work in the sphere of intelligence where he had an agent at his disposal, sent from London. Finally by arranging the assembled documents to be photographed and be sent through a courier route until he was arrested at the end of May 1944 for his involvement in this work and after having remained silent throughout, he was executed in September of that year. By his conduct he has rendered valuable services to the conduct of the war by the Allies and to the Dutch government.
