Biography

William J. Ackley was called for duty at Fort Niagara, New York on October 26th, 1942. He served with Company L, 3rd Battalion, 357th Infantry Regiment, 90th Infantry Division and was in Europe between April 3rd, 1944 and November 4th, 1945. Ackley reached the rank of Staff Sergeant. He was honorably discharged at Indiantown, Pennsylvania on November 13th, 1945.
