Biography

Career :
1936 : witnessed horrors committed by the Republicans during the Spain Campaign
September 1939 : WIA in Deux-Ponts as infantryman in the 126th RI and hospitalized
End October 1939 : back to the 126th RI in Alsace
February 1940 : sent to an anti-tank warfare course as an instructor
May 1940 : sent with the 126th RI to Tergnier in the Saint Quentin Canal sector serving in the 'Groupe Franc' (Assault Group) of the regiment
25th June 1940 : undefeated 126th RI laid down its weapons near Bellac and Limoges
August 1941 : enlisted in the 10.Kie III.Bat. IR 638 - LVF
September 1944 : resisted to the transfer in the Waffen SS and sent to Stutthof Konzentrationslager near Danzig
May 1945 : wearing soviet clothes, escaped from Berlin was captured by the US, caped again and performed a guerilla warfare with other comrades eager to continue the fight near Innsbruck-Salzburg
End 1945 : out of ammunition and food, the group surrendered to the US troops but were discharged and provided with German identities; Soulé left them and made it back to France where he was denounced and sentenced to 1 year imprisonment.
