Biography

Arlis was a success realtor and investment businessman. He worked closely with a student ministry called Campus Crusade for Christ and founded a ministry to professional athletes called Pro Athletes Outreach.

During his military service with the United States Army, he arrived on Utah Beach in France June 13, 1944 and participated in the second wave of the Normandy invasion.

Out of an original 172 servicemen in Arlis’s company, only 5 survived, spending 241 days in combat. Arlis served with the 44th Armored Infantry Battalion. The battalion fought throughout World War II with the 6th Armored Division under General George Patton.

Arlis trooped across France and into Belgium, and was in Eastern Belgium when the war ended.
Arlis received a Silver Star, a Purple Heart, a Presidential Citation, and five major battle stars.
