Ian Leslie Thomas Miller was born on May 1st, 1924 geboren as son to Lt-Col (Qtr) William Kinchela Miller (MBE) and Constance Isabel Thomas. At the time of his birth, his father served with the South Wales Borderers Regiment in India.
