"Captain Podoski as DAQMG of 1st Polish Armoured Division, has been an outstanding example throughout the campaign. His enthusiasm, hard work and brilliant organising ability at all times have been of inestimable value to A/Q Branch. His experience, knowledge and the fact that he has never spared himself working long hours under arduous conditions when the division was in action have been largely instrumental in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of his department throughout many difficult months. He is the best type of Staff Officer, coming through every test successfully and I strongly recommend him for the award of M.B.E. for his magnificent work on behalf of the Division".
