Castle d'Aubigny

The Château d'Aubigny, managed by the Belchamps family, was during the war of 1870.
in the battle of Colombey of August 14, 1870, converted into a Prussian hospital.
The film : Aubigny Mémoires de 1870 was made about this period.

The castle was still visited after the First World War,
by French Marshals Lyautey and Foch.

In the summer of 1940, the German authorities confiscated the estate,
and turned it into a Mädchenschule.
The owners returned in the autumn of 1944.
