Biography

James was born on June 3 1918 in Caterham England, the son of Major-General Alexander and Mrs. R. O. Alexander.

He was the husband of Barbara I. Alexander, of Victoria, British Columbia.

He had a pre-war R.C.A.F. service under service number C989.

His sports were rugby and hockey.

James was killed in action on Thursday August 28 1941 age 24 due to a crash near the slaughterhouse in Schiedam before or after an attack on Rotterdam.

The other fallen RAF crew members were F/Sgt Alexander J. Hardy in grave LL-2-10 and F/Sgt John L. Briggs in grave LL-1-9.
