Biography

Jhr. mr. Ellis van Riemsdijk, born October 27, 1912, in Bandoeng (West Java). Secretary Bataafsche Petroleum Maatschappij (B.P.M.) in Pladjoe. Soldier infantry with the IV Landstorm battalion at the K.N.I.L., taken prisoner of war on March 8, 1942 and deported to Fukuoka camp 9 (Onura coal mine) in Japan, where he died on May 6, 1944 of croup pneumonia. Father of 1 daughter.
