Biography

On 21 October 1942 at 14:45 a Spitfire crashed into the hamlet of La Bondelue near the French town of Autun. The pilot bailed out shortly before the crash. He was seriously wounded and was transferred by the Germans to hospital in Dijon, where he died on 12 November 1942.
