For ops see App “E” No.1 The Coy was given the task of left flank protection to the Bde. For this job we were given two MMG Pls from the Rifle Bde and an MMG Pl from 1st Bn Middlesex. We also had 15 Pl still under our comd. Lieut. Manser was fatally wounded by a mine over which his carrier went whilst overtaking another vehicle and died shortly after being admitted to hospital.
