Biography

Walter Sensi was born on February 19th, 1914 as son to Frederico Sensi and Clotilde Torri. He was killed on October 5th, 1942 when his Cant Z 1007 bis crashed in sea during a landing in bad weahter and darkness at Aeroporto di Gadurrą. He was in 30° stormo bombardamento terrestre, 87° and 90° gruppo, 195^ and 192^ squadriglia. He served 30° stormo also in Sciacca ghost airport (Sicily), missions on Malta, Tobruk and Palestina.

When the aircraft crashed in the water in front of the italian airfield of Rodi Gadurrą the October 5th, 1942 they were coming back from a mission over Palestinian (Haifa) oil raffineries with very bad weather.The crew was made of 6 people (Walter Sensi, Renzo Cocco, Giovannie Previti co-pilot, Antonio Carpani, Nazzareno Leone and Giuseppe Zoccatelli).
