On the 26.04.1945 Unteroffizier Frankl destroyed 7 Soviet T-34s with Panzerfausts during the combat around Friedrichshain. Wounded shortly afterwards, he was taken to Hitler’s bunker on the very same day. Here he received the Knight’s Cross and held a 20 minute conversation with Hitler himself.
