    Biography

    Lieutenant Colonel Ned Moore served as Assistant Chief of Staff (G1) of the 101st Airborne Division in the period 15th September 1943 until 10th February 1945. Then he became the Chief of Staff until 7th May 1945. He was promoted to Colonel at 8th March 1945. In the period 8th December until 28th December 1944 (the Battle of the Bulge) he was also acting as Chief of Staff.
    Ned Moore, 85 years old, a Major General who retired in 1965 as commanding officer of Army forces in Alaska, died at 8 October 1992 of kidney failure and hepatitis at Fairfax Hospital Kirkland/Washington, United States.
