Biography

On 17th September 1944 the Douglas C-47 Skytrain or Dakota from 436th Troop Carrier Squadron, 82nd Squadron, serial No 42-1006762 with in 18 Para-troopers sustained a hit from the Flak and killing 6 Para-troopers among them was Cpl. Joseph A. Findley. The rest of the troopers and the crew managed to leave the plane and reached the ground unhurt. They observed how the the plane with the bodies of the killed Para's was out of control and crashed into the ground near Bladel and Netersel/North Brabant, Netherlands.
