Citation:
"In the vicinity of Kiangan, Luzon, Philippine islands on 11 August 1945, Private Mollohan and his platoon were attacking the enemy defending a high ridge line. The platoon was suddenly fired upon by an enemy machine gun. Private Mollohan moved in to close with the enemy, firing his automatic rifle as he advanced. He located the enemy gun emplacement and threw a hand granade at the enemy manning the gun. Two japanese were wounded by the burst of the grenade. Before they could resist farther, he killed them with fire from his automatic rifle. Private Mollohan's gallant action removed the threat to the men of his platoon and merits high praise."
