"Young officer, admirable courage and cold-blooded
Volunteered for missions into France and has completed activities of the highest importance over period longer than a year.
His activities as head of liaison operations in occupied France have rendered him already the award of the l'ordre des Forces Françaises Combattantes in February 1943.
In May, after being arrested by the Gestapo with several of his comrades he - thanks to his magnificent decisive character and audacity - managed to escape by killing his guards.
This escape of which its details when they will be disclosed may seem hardly credible, allowed his comrades at the same time to retrieve their liberty.
Actively searched for by the Gestapo and under particuar difficult circumstances he did not continue less than when he received the strict order to cease all activities."
