Citation:
"For gallantry in action on April 14, 1945 in the vicinity of ___________ Germany. After capturing a German infantryman who was stalking his machine gun position, Sgt. Belrose learned the position of others of the enemy in the area. Setting out with one man, he captured 12 enemy soldiers after a brief fight. Then, when coming under machine gun and Panzer Faust fire from a building, Sgt. Belrose ordered his men to cover and attacked the building single handedly, killing three enemy gunners and routing 8 others. His gallant action and inspirational leadership were in the highest tradition of the military service."
