Biography

David Martin Lindquester was born on November 15th, 1922 as son to Charles Gottfried Lindquester (1886 - 1960) and Florence Jane (Cool) Lindquester (1896 - 1930).
He enlisted in New York on January 15th, 1941. For certain he served with 51st Troop Carrier Squadron, 62nd Troop Carrier Group and 42nd Bombardment Wing, 12th Air Force during World War Two, other units are yet unknown. After the Second World War he served in both the Korea and Vietnam war.

Besides the decorations mentioned here below, he also received the Legion of Merit, the Bronze Star Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, de Air Medal (twice), the Air Force Commendation Medal, the National Defence Service Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal. Apart from the last, it is not yet knwon when the others were awarded.
