Biography

James Paul Gullion was born on July 7th, 1915 near Fulbright, Texas, as son to Dan F. Gullion and Charlie Senter. He was educated at North Texas University, Denton, Texas and received a bachelor's degree in education. On December 7th, 1940 he married Katherine W. Parsons and went on as teacher at a school in Zephyr, Texas. In 1942 he enlisted into the Army Air Corps and was trained as a navigator at Selman Field in Louisiana. Upon his graduation from Advanced Navigation School in May of 1943 he was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant before going on to serve with the 22nd Bombardment Group.
