Biography

Lived in Surabaya. Married. Employé at the tapioca and fiber company Bendoredjo near Kediri (East Java). Member of the Indische NSB. Interpreter at the Kempeitai (Japanese military police) in Surabaya. According to the unpublished NIOD manuscript Het Indisch Verzet during the Japanese occupation of the Dutch East Indies by A.G. Vromans and R. de Bruin, W. von Ranzow, like all interpreters, engaged in "subversive activities". After being caught, he was put to death, according to Vromans and De Bruin. Died in the internment camp in Soerabaja (East Java) on December 18, 1942. Father of 1 son and three daughters.
