Biography

He took off with his crew Halifax NA545 from RAF Full Sutton Base. He was on route to bomb Sterkrade in Germany, but he never came back and the plane failed to return. It was later established that the whole crew died and the plane crashed into the sea off the coast of Holland, approximately 80km west of Zandvoort around 2.30 am on 17 June 1944. As noted he had unfortunately died on active duty. He is buried at one of the islands called Terschelling.
