09.1939-08.1943: served as a flight instructor at Fluglehrerschule Brandenburg-Briest
07.1941: promoted to Leutnant
07.1942: promoted to Oberleutnant / Flieger (RDA 01.07.40)
01.07.1943: promoted to Hauptmann (Kr.O./Fl.)
08.-10.1943: became aninstructor with BFS 10
15.10.1943-07.1944: Hauptmann, appointed Kdr. I./ JG 110
08.-10.1944: transferred to Frontflugsammelstelle Quedlinburg
10.-11.1944: transferred to Erg.Gr./ JG 400
12.1944: Hauptmann, transferred to 1./ JG 400
27.12.1944-02.1945: Hauptmann, appointed Staka 1./ JG 400
02.1945: appointed Kdr. I./ JG 400
1945-1955: he became a sales manager for Shell AG and continued in aerobatics internationally until 1955 then continued within Germany as well
29.09.1961: killed in an accident, while test flying the SIAT-222 at Augsberg
