01st September 1944 : enter the Waffen SS as Hauptscharführer and gun specialist in the 5.Kie SS Regiment 58 - Charlemagne Division
End 1944 : Zugführer in the recce unit of the SS Regiment 58 - Charlemagne Division
1st March 1945: Integrated in the II. Bataillon of the reorganized Division Charlemagne
24 March 1945: Captured by the soviet together with 10 others trying to cross the Oder River near Körlin
1945 : Sentenced to emprisonment and probably offered to join the French expeditionary force in Indochina 1946-50: served in Indochina (assessed by a relative and to be confirmed)
1950: Collaborator in the Volksbund Kriegsgräberfürsorge
